The Rockville Chamber of Commerce is an integral part of our city's past and is helping to shape its future. We are an active business partner with the city in many ways, from economic development to civic involvement. We serve as the voice of businesses that proudly call Rockville their home.

The May "Mix & Mingle" will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Glenview Mansion at Rockville Civic Center. This will be a fundraising event for the Rockville Scholarship Foundation (www.rsfoundation.net). The Glenview Mansion was recently added to the National Register of Historic Places. This recognition lists Glenview Mansion as significant in American history, architecture, archeology, engineering, and culture. Register online for this event at www.rockvillechamber.org. A $25 donation is requested for The Rockville Scholarship Foundation.

A “LEADS GROUP” is currently being formed for Chamber members.  A “Leads Group” is a non-competing group of networking partners who will provide business leads and business ideas freely to each other.  If you are interested in building better business relationships through a Rockville Chamber of Commerce “Leads Group,” please contact Craig Johnson -- volunteer coordinator for our “Leads Group” effort.  Please contact him at craigjohnson@mris.com or (301) 520-2908.   The first meeting is scheduled for May.

The Rockville Chamber of Commerce and Community Ministries of Rockville are teaming up again this year on “THE TASTE OF ROCKVILLE” at Rockville’s Hometown Holidays! This fundraising event provides local restaurants the chance to share a taste of their menu with Rockville residents and gives Community Ministries and the Chamber of Commerce a chance to raise some much needed additional funds.

“THE TASTE OF ROCKVILLE” takes place on Saturday, May 24th and Sunday, May 25th over Memorial Day weekend in Rockville Town Center. We need your help!! Volunteers are needed to help with ticket sales both days of the event.

Volunteers are asked to work 4 hour shifts starting at 12pm and ending at 10 PM on Saturday and Sunday. If you can help out on either (or both) days, please contact Diana Whitfield at diana.whitfield@yesbank.com or 301-233-7293.
